I created Indians On Water today. I brought this drawing with me to my spot, GPS: 34°56'6.546″ n 83°50'23.958″ w + 300 Feet. My mother had saved this drawing I made as a five-year-old. She drew the left Indian; I copied it to the right.
The drawing is sixty years old. I released it into the stream to disintegrate into the graphite and wood pulp from which it was made. All that is left of it is a statement I believe to be true: All Artists Copy, I Think. I Know All Children Do.
PROJECT: Rumors Of Time
This project, Rumors of Time, is the Yang to its Yin sister project: GPS: 34°56'6.546″ n 83°50'23.958″ w + 300 Feet. For both projects, I begin each photoshoot sitting in the swing located at 34°56'6.546″ n 83°50'23.958″ w. However, for the Rumors Of Time project, I have brought an object, memorabilia, from my past with me to the swing.
This project brings my past into the present to experience and then convey whatever significance I discover -with my camera.
The only rule I follow on this quest is that I must remain within 300 feet of my swing. Hence the project's title, GPS: 34°56'6.546″ n 83°50'23.958″ w + 300 Feet.
