Today's image is "Between Number Eleven." It comes from my In The Between Project. With this project, I pair two stand-alone pictures with each other to provoke the observer to follow the natural tendency to fill in the gap between the two with a personal interpretation or meaning. It is a dance of symbols and metaphors.
Each pairing in the project has a definite meaning for me, but that is mine and not the observer's. That is the beauty of this project to me. No definitive truth is declared, but the truth is in the image, and there is a gap; that is true. There is a Between.
I am very honored to have had "Between Number Eleven" juried into
The Narrative Power of Black & White at The Maloof Gallery
by Juror Elizabeth Flinsch, Independent Curator and Editor of Shots Magazine.
